Prevention

Prevention is an important part of unseen(uk)'s work. We support and work with a range of organisations to make sure that people are aware of trafficking in the hope that they won't fall prey to traffickers.

-Raising Awareness
unseen(uk) runs 'Information Evenings' that are open for anyone to come and find out more about the issue of human trafficking and what can be done to stop it-please keep checking the website for more information about these events.

-Education and Information Sessions for Frontline Service Providers
unseen(uk) runs 'Information Sessions' for frontline service providers, including; the police, GP surgerys, hospital staff, Local Councils and Authorities, each session can be specifically tailored to each of the different sectors and will provide information on:

-What Human Trafficking is
-How it may present itself in your sector
-How to spot the signs
-What to do if you suspect someone has been trafficked

We seek to raise awareness of the issues surrounding trafficking as we believe the more people that are aware and know about trafficking, the harder it will be for traffickers to go about their business unnoticed.

unseen(uk) is represented at Government level and through this is involved in the writing of UK wide Prevention Strategies.
