People can be trafficked to any area in the UK – there may be trafficked people in your town or street. For more information on looking out for the signs of Human trafficking visit The Blue Blindfold Campaign on http://www.blueblindfold.co.uk/thesigns/.

If you suspect an instance of human trafficking in the UK please call crime stoppers on
0800 555 111.

However, if you have important urgent information which requires an immediate response, contact a Police Officer, your local Police force or dial 999.

Download a pre-written letter that outlines the issue of Human Trafficking

All you have to do is:

• Select the correct letter (see below)
• Print off the letter
• Do an internet search to find your local councillor - for Bristol use the site www.bristol.gov.uk/councillors
• For the rest of the UK, use DirectGov to find the details of your councillor.
• Pop your councillors address and name in the appropriate places
• Sign your letter and post it

Three Peaks Challenge 2009 - A team of people completed the 3 peaks challenge, raising over £1,000 for unseen(uk).
Bristol Half Marathon 2009 - Tamsin Phillips, Seb Denno and Mike & Suzy Berry ran the Bristol Half Marathon to raise money to support the work of unseen(uk).

what are taskforces?

We would love you to partner with us by joining an unseen(uk) taskforce. As partners with unseen(uk) you will emulate our aims by:
• Raising awareness about human trafficking and the work of unseen(uk)
• Engaging your local community in the campaign against modern day slavery
• Hosting fundraising events to support the work of unseen(uk)

Faith communities are joining together to partner with unseen(uk) and play an important role in combating human trafficking.

join a taskforce

As the proposed leader of a taskforce please fill out your details on the form downloadable below.

We encourage you to let your church leader know your intentions about starting a taskforce and require them to sign the form below.

You will then need to find at least two other people to join with you - again get them to fill in the form. If you are from the same congregation the church leader’s signature on this first form is sufficient.
