CHILDREN’S WORKER CASUAL BANK HOURS (NORTH SOMERSET)

£211 per 24 hour shift/ hourly rate for shorter shifts as required: £8.78 p/h

We operate a care home for children survivors of human trafficking in North Somerset and are seeking to recruit a bank of casual children’s workers to assist with the delivery of the service.

The post requires those applying to have a LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA FOR RESIDENTIAL CHILDCARE (England) or a qualification considered to be equivalent to the Level 3 Diploma.

You should also have up to date safeguarding training and a current DBS for the children’s work force. You will need to provide us with two references, one of which will need to be your most recent employer and should be related to working within the care/children’s sector.

If you are successful with your application you would also be given an internal induction and the necessary training.

Bank Staff are employed on casual contracts and offered work on an ad-hoc basis. There is no obligation to take the shifts offered. Bank workers who are consistently unavailable for shifts are naturally unlikely to be offered regular bank work. This is a casual contract, meaning that the post holder should be available for shifts at short notice on occasion, although every effort will be made to offer shifts in advance where possible. Casual contract shifts as and when required by manager are 24 hour shifts including a sleep in, with 3 hours of break per shift. Other length shifts may be needed, this will be arranged by the manager of the project.

The deadline for applications is Friday 7th September 2018 at 17.00

Interviews will be held on 17th and 18th September 2018

If successful, it is anticipated that you will be potentially offered work as soon as shifts become available (subject to satisfactory references, DBS check and completion of induction).
